These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of our services. By engaging Bewoodwise to carry out work, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

2. Definitions

In these Terms, the following words have the meanings set out below:

•        "We", "us", or "our" refers to Bewoodwise.

•        "You" or "the client" refers to the individual or business engaging our services.

•        "Services" means the mobile saw-milling work agreed between us, as discussed prior to the job.

•        "Job" means a single engagement of our services at an agreed location and date.

3. Quotations and Booking

All quotations are provided based on information supplied by you prior to the job. Quotations are estimates only and may be subject to change if the scope of work differs from what was originally described.

A booking is confirmed once we have agreed a date and scope of work with you, either verbally or in writing. We recommend confirming bookings in writing (e.g. by email) to avoid any misunderstanding.

We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.

4. Your Responsibilities

To enable us to carry out the Services safely and effectively, you agree to:

•        Ensure we have safe and adequate access to the site and the timber to be milled.

•        Provide accurate information about the timber, including any known defects, embedded metal, or other hazards.

•        Ensure the site is safe for our equipment and personnel prior to our arrival.

•        Obtain any necessary permissions or consents (e.g. landowner permission) before engaging our services.

You acknowledge that timber may contain hidden defects (such as embedded metal, stones, or internal rot) that are not visible prior to milling. We accept no liability for damage to our equipment or delays arising from such undisclosed or undiscoverable hazards, unless otherwise agreed in writing on a per-job basis.

5. Liability

Our liability to you in connection with any job will be discussed and agreed on a per-job basis as part of our pre-job discussions. Any specific limitations or exclusions agreed will be set out in writing where possible.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:

•        Death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

•        Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

•        Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

If you are a consumer (a private individual not acting in the course of a business), your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable legislation are not affected by these Terms.

6. Payment

Payment is due upon receipt of our invoice, which will be issued following completion of the work. Our invoices will set out the payment due date. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

We are VAT registered. Where applicable, VAT will be charged at the prevailing rate and shown separately on our invoice.

Invoices should be settled by the method agreed at the time of booking. If you have any query with an invoice, please contact us at bewoodwise@icloud.com within 7 days of receipt.

7. Cancellation and Rescheduling

We understand that circumstances can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

•        You may cancel a booking at any time without charge.

•        Where possible, we will work with you to reschedule to a mutually convenient date.

•        We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a job due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, equipment failure, or illness. In such cases, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and arrange an alternative date.

Neither party will be liable to the other for any loss arising from a cancellation made in good faith under this clause.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website (www.bewoodwise.com), including text, images, and branding, is owned by or licensed to Bewoodwise and may not be reproduced without our prior written consent.

9. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We always aim to resolve any issues informally in the first instance. If you have a concern, please contact us at bewoodwise@icloud.com and we will do our best to find a fair resolution.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of your booking will apply to that engagement. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
